A little bit of paint...

...to say it goes a long way doesn't even do justice!

L's Study: Before
(used as a bedroom by a young girl)
A pic of the room empty -
Study: After!
French Gray on the walls (Sherwin Williams)
and no more vertical blinds

(the wood floors still had not been finished
when we took the pic below:)

Hall Bath: Before

Close up:
the paint on the walls had yellowed but the tile stayed white

Hall Bath: After!
same French Gray

Master Bath Chandelier

L's master bath fan before, at the top of the picture:
(also of note: old sliding closet doors, "antiqued" white walls,
and curtains hung just above french doors)

close up to awesomeness:

Meet the old dining room chandelier:

Add some paint:

now hung in the master bath in place of the old fan:

New master bath!

"new" chandelier, new closet doors, new white paint,
and new curtains, mounted at the ceiling

L's Master Bath Makeover

L's Master Bath: Before
("fur down" fluorescent lighting, full wall mirror,
old hardware, cabinets on the wall to the right,
and cream / antique white paint)

goodbye "fur down" / encased lighting and big broken mirror:

and goodbye cabinets on the right:

new spot lighting in the ceiling! And paint begins:

After:
new mirrors, hardware, lighting, paint
(and a peek of the chandelier)

and changing the lighting & paint altered the color of the tile for the better,

The first round of paint went up today. They sprayed all of the grey trim white. Here is the before trim:

And the after:

And the new (and old) built-ins:

Master Bath: Shower Tiled!

Another fuzzy iPhone pic, but our shower is now tiled up:

Master Closet: Sliding Barn Door

On the left is the hole for our closet door (please excuse the fuzzy iPhone pic):

To avoid losing closet/bedroom space, we are going to put on a sliding barn door. I thought I was excited about it when i found these beautiful examples:

(A bathroom door by the Brooklyn Home Company via Remodelista.)

( Reclaimed Wine Oak Sliding Door by Cliff Spencer via Remodelista.)

But then I found this
gem at Historic Houston's salvage warehouse, and now i cannot WAIT to see how it turns out:

oooweee...
